Geeta lives in poor circumstances and works in Star Theatrical Company as a stage artiste. Once, being late for work, she takes a lift in a car to reach her place of work. The car belongs to the rich industrialist Sundeep Anand.
When seen getting down from the car of industrialist Sundeep Anand, a rumour spreads out that Geeta is Sundeep's beloved. Sriram Chowdhury the owner of Star Theatrical Company takes advantage of the situation and immediately makes Geeta the heroine of the Company, pays her all dues and congratulates her on getting involved with a rich guy like Sundeep Anand. Sriram suggests that Geeta should persuade Sundeep Anand to become patron of Star Theatrical Company, Geeta wants to explain but Sriram refuses to listen. Sriram announces that Geeta has become the new heroine of the Company and Sundeep Anand their patron.
